i have new imac , have installed lr3. older g5 has lr2. copied of picture folder files old machine included folders .dng files created in lr2. imported new folder "g5 imports", still retain lr names, 2008, 2009, 2010. subfolder in folder called "lightroom" , contains .lrdata , .lrcat folders. should reimport image files lr3 or can move them new imacs pictures folder? also, how move other lr2 folders, .lrdata, , .lrcat folders lr3? these folders contain metadata images worked on in lr2?   thanks can provide. new user lightroom, experienced in photoshop.   grant .lrcat file lightroom catalog. can open in lightroom 3 , lightroom update create new .lrcat file keeping old 1 (lightroom doesn't overwrite it). hi, downloaded , installed ubuntu package webcam-server. problem can´t work. black rectangle text: connecting, please wait, , red dot below text. i have been looking "fix" loss in use of spot removal tool due sluggishness in lr3.  stumbled across following , wondered if multiple hard drive can confirm fix or if lr3 catalog allowing speedy spot removal , slow down in future.  anyway, here did:   1.     had 1 hard drive array os, 1 cache , catalog/previews , third array images (dng).  resulting in spot removal tool locking computer around 10 seconds each action.  not acceptable.  there no lag @ in lr2.   2.     moved catalog/previews on os hard drive , spot removal tool makes changes in less 1 second, may times instantaneously.  had done test in lr2 , had absolutely no impact on speed (that notice anyway, in lr2 instantaneous on machine) left catalog/previews cache.   can 3 or more hard drives confirm if cache, catalog/previews , images separated on 3 drives may revive use of spot removal tool???  great news!   thanks!   jeff i have 3 drives i'm not technically savvy enough answer question in full. can contribute e

i created index.html page wanted , decided use of it's skeleton create template rest of pages.  created old way, using tables.  removed row , merged columns of table , selected column merged table in , inserted editable region.  saved template (pages.dwt), opened new document based on pages.dwt , saved about-us.html.  went modify > template > update current page (the images still linked if template). when did of images showed up, not of images' links got updated.  there 2 or 3 images still have templates' link (../images & file://).  i'm unable edit them since it's part of uneditable region of template.   i've tried creating new template 3 or 4 times.  trying things creating new table instead of merging, deleting unecessary rows in code view rather design.  nothing seems work, issue seems happen when try , create new page off template.   any suggestions?   thanks, cody i figured out issue!   i going call ids images since linking getting messed , whil

running 9.04 ubuntu jaunty dual-boot vista. jaunty ext3 filesystem, vista ntfs. both os's operational - no hardware failure/disk errors. deleted directory, in jaunty (ext3), transported trash bin. emptied trash bin, accidentally, 500mb directory deleted. shutdown, , booted 9.04 livecd. writing forum post this. directory was; /home/user/desktop/convert before deleted via trash bin - right click empty. how can recover files? looked @ datarecovery documentation ubuntu - seems failed disks/formatted disks (entire disks). need recover files in directory deleted. comfortable command line tools etc. - thankful help. try ext3grep. in repository jaunty. install , read man page. bit technical, saved me 1 time when deleted 4 gig truecrypt file. i'm having same issue many seem having, i'm running ap 9.3.2 , when try update .3, either fresh download adobe's site or through updater, dreaded "can't install" messages else seeing.  i've not changed thing acrobat pro, done original install , updates per adobe's notification.  no plug-ins have been added, deleted or disabled.  app not part of cs4 suite, standalone cs4 upgrade original cs acrobat pro.  previous updates have gone through fine.  i'm on quad g5, leopard 10.5.8, apps , system running fine.   before spend afternoon others have doing software voodoo find solution hoping have found answer glitch.  maybe adobe, since product. tried reloading base ap 9, doing updaters, , keep getting same stupid message, first updater on fresh install of app.  nice.  ended going startup disk backup clone , copying 9.3.2 folder on , @ least can use again.  not sure glitch is, seems 9.3.2 last version i'll have.  of course, i'm using 5 year old ant

hello,   this pretty esoteric question. i've been working on technique involves tracing complex motion paths @ high speeds, 'draw' shapes using trapcode particular. but seem have run limit of how many position coordinates ae can generate per-second, lines come out dotted rather smooth.  i've tried using cc glue gun, plugin emits particles, , found same problem.   the temporal sampling seemed top out somewhere around 31,000 samples per second.  since maximin fps 99, , max adaptive samples per frame motion blur 256, makes sense temporal sampling beyond 25344hz not considered necessary.    still, know if there specific factor determines limit and/or how can changed?    thanks,   eric since there no way increase framerate value above 99fps, don't believe you're looking possible. keeping on esoteric mindset, if you're using particle generator, there won't such thing line not created individual dots. no matter temporal or spatial resolution you're using.

i'm still working photoshop cs under windows xp (i know, i'm luddite!).   a few days ago worked images, including creating mulitple layers , adjustments; i'm not sure saved of final images experimenting. after closed ps, noticed computer had slowed crawl--even getting emails took several minutes, , virus scan--which takes hour--went overnight!   the way clear shut down , restart computer.   i believe there happened when working in ps tied system up. have suggestion clearing without having restart computer? perhaps clearing cache or memory, or clipboard or such thing?   regards, david. what version of ps?   windows xp sp3?   ps suppose release memory when shut down.   look in msconfig see if ps .exe still running when shut down.   look in windows xp event manager see if there listed problem ps being held open program/software. is/maybe keeping ps open , not allowing close.   also give ole fix reset prefs reading this. keyboard or manual way. might cure weird problem. http:

hey there open-source recording artists! past few days i've been trying learn how record guitar parts onto audacity using pod xt. i've used audacity audio recordings since more user friendly ardour , capable imo. however, cannot audacity work pod. downloaded "line6-usb-source" using apt-get. ubuntu seems recognize pod , signal fine (when go "sound preferences" allows me select pod xt input hardware , shows incoming signal). when go audacity's preferences, allows me select pod "recording device", when go record gives me error saying check project sample rate. pod not output @ 44100 hz? there way change sample rate pod puts out? there setting in audacity need adjust? not want wine or emulate anything. feel shouldn't have use specific audio recording software use piece of hardware paid money for. , suggestions appreciated!! some devices not 44100, go edit>pre

hello! i can't find explanation between static width , dynamic 1 in joomal's templates... say, want install new joomla template ...i use joomla 1,5...i go website , have choice whether need static width or dynamic...but don't have clue... so please help. bonjour, the terms self-explanatory static width that: width of "page" static, doesn't change, fixed. referred fixed-width templates. dynamic opposite: width of page changes "dynamically" size of browser window and/or width of screen it's being viewed upon. referred fluid templates or fluid layouts. it's matter of personal taste (for me anyway) , degree, type of content being displayed. text content lends better dynamic template text reflows when browser re-sized. well, if not fluid templates have minimum width value no go smaller than. cheers! lyle Board index Joomla! i transferred hosting site godaddy siteground , folks @ siteground helped me transfer files , old database. site 90% working, having 404 errors left , right addon components , plugins. joomlapack inaccessible 404 errors cannot make backup or restore backup before migration. also, "add cart" button has no link , disabling ajax not want because popup , lightbox effects. , lastly, special characters ? , when go insert 1 article nothing white blank box....problem accessing plugins/editors/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/themes/advanced/charmap.htm think? it seems me transferring database has caused these errors components, plugins, etc not being accessed correctly. not happy idea of paying sitegrounds developers $50 hour fix not broken before switched them. please, solutions or ideas wrong appreciated. could file corruption missing files or database may missing data. can create new database? in new folder place 1 of joomlapack backup files , download kickstart file creators of jooml
