i using ubuntu 9.10. can't scan scanner asus s2w 3300 u, flatbed 22". had read conversation shown in link. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=469756.
there advice type command
sane-find-scanner
got message given below

shows

no scanners identified. if expecting different,
check scanner plugged in, turned on , detected the
sane-find-scanner tool (if appropriate). please read documentation
came software (readme, faq, manpages).

downloaded file shown in link, , copied file u96v121.bin respective location. don't scanner scanned. advice of freewheelinfrank in conversation, changed file u222v067.bin. didn't helped me. firstly got message when opening xsane scanner program is

scanner not found

got same message. don't remember when got error message device can' t accessed or thing that.

please me. student studying in diploma in india.

first go system>administration>hardware drivers , driver. did printer come install disc? second, if give output of code, this: {code}code goes here {/code} (but instead of { } put [ ]).
