Thread: Frozen at startup.

first of all, i'm new ubuntu.

installed on netbook (acer ao721). worked fine until morning. after crash (i can't remember doing though, believe changed windows , icons theme) , reboot going through check disk, ubuntu "frozen".

more specifically:
desktop wallpaper shows , notification area that's stops. no panels, nothing.
keyboard , mouse work although mouse pointer doesn't display.
nothing else there.

idea?
