i'm 6 months joomla 2 web sites , 2 more planned. have realized weaknesses of joomla's content management group definitions maintaining content on site. assumed during development able assign editors submit/edit articles previewed publisher before being published. nope. can't done. administrator can receive notification of article submission. worse that, editors can edit any content published, including own articles, , changes published without notification or overview anyone! totally taken surprise find not assign editors edit or submit articles 'parked' until publisher review them before publishing. have novice editors need have work reviewed. not want put burden on administrator, , don't want assign else backend privileges. i'm late put in request changes in 1.6. hope has been done fix issue. second, have struggled mind around section/category/article/menu item. think have now, , understand criticisms read no subcategories in joomla! here's take-home

greetings, have logitech quickcam pro 9000 works skype, cheese, ekiga, , flash on ubuntu 9.10 no problems. i working a large document footnotes , have started first chapter. each chapter has set of footnotes on chapter pages. i have entered footnotes, reset on each page, on first page there footnotes 1-6 , next page should start 7 etc, starts 1 again i have changed setting , made sure starts 1, , 'restart numbering' unchecked.   i think simple , driving me nuts trying figure out   please please !!   thanks l are frames threaded? don't lot of footnotes, i'm pretty sure reset each story. i had unpleasant experience of working couple of hours on lrm3 (win7, 64bit) on multiple photos , had os crash - famous windows blue screen. consequence changes had done lost though catalogue intact.   is there way force "save catalogue" every again while working. typically in ms word if i'm writig important , i've written brilliant words i'm not able again. there similar in lrm? afaik work around close program , open again. sucks.   on related note, know algorithm lrm uses write changes catalogue? it should writing them continuously make them.  create lock file , journal file, i'm unclear why crash result in more few seconds of lost work.   of course, safe thing , write out xmp data go backup.  that's do.  can use auto write or hit control-s write out image working on.  way, if happens again, read in images data lost. i've looked @ various other threads no luck far. i'm using flash builder 4 , flex api 4 , until yesterday - i.e. run app in debug mode. somehow today things stopped working. not sure why - didn't tweak in flash builder's options. when launching app (most complicated simplest) status bar telling me   launching: waiting adobe flash player connect debugger   that gets stuck @ 57%. after few minutes   failed connect; session timed out. ensure that:   1. compiled flash application debugging on.   2. running debugger version of flash player.   i'm using chrome on windows 7. need debug.   thank help. it happens many time ...but can solve in 3 ways   1) clean project , try.   2) close flex builder , reopen it. try it...if doesn't work go 3 option   2) change workspace , import project in or best create new 1 , make changes in it...     sometimes workspace corrupted , happens...   if post answers question or helps, please kindly mark such. the mtu settings should match across network. default mtu of ubuntu 1500 ... router or wireless router should set 1500. have heard 1492 mtu optimal 1500 works me. wanted share ... internet connection slowed way down after first installing 64bit version (not sure if 32bit same?). tried suggestions disable ipv6 etc etc etc... worked temporarily internet got slow again! decided @ router settings ... mtu set @ 1400 .... decided set @ 1500, default mtu of ubuntu. fast internet back... stay time! ok... mtu settings didn't ... after 24hrs troubleshooting issue ... ubuntu 1 cloud storage slowing internet down!! pain finding issue. once killed ubuntu 1 processes running internet came right normal. causing lag (ping latency) on computers on lan. had nothing ipv6 on system, or mtu settings. ubuntu 1 uploading in background. needs 2 gigs cloud storage anyway? @ cost of major bandwidth. thu

i used pybackpack backup @ first time , accidentally deleted sub-folders have selected destination folder on external ntfs drive, next other backup folders. during backup program has replaced/deleted all separate backups of other systems , have lost on 100 gb data! problem is, file backup manager recognized folders unnecessary previous backups of same system... have tried ntfs undelete , testdisk, has not seen files. overwritten folders in increments folder, without files. please, let me know recover/undelete folders. thanks! first , foremost, may know, stop using drive avoid overwriting! then, download hiren's boot cd here (use mirror servers @ bottom of page), boot (into mini windows xp) , 'recovery' menu, choose 'get data ntfs'. see if can find lost folders! please, maybe can me modifying template. i’m trying use free 1 found on web call pwc002_water_drop. has 3 columns instead of 2. made changes modules on right column, left one. have 2 columns: menus @ left , news , articles @ principal right column. template still reserve right place modules had move. how can make main column, mean right one, expand until end of page? understand mean if see picture below. thank answer. it involves changing css entry in css file or index.php depending upon how things implemented. if provide url can this.
