Thread: Kubuntu 10.04 starts up with GNOME???

i have started kubuntu, , shows ubuntu desktop instead of plasma. before this, change did remove broadcom wifi card because kubuntu couldn't boot because of error mentioning bcm driver , phy5.

removed card, , no errors on boot. now, can't on internet because kubuntu can't connect anything. see of networks, guess gnome interfering network manager...

ideas?

are selecting kde @ login screen? if auto logging in, log out , select kde dropdown icon appears bottom left of normal kdm login screen. if seeing gnome login screen rather kde, have gdm running rather kdm. x session environment selector somewhere along bottom.

hope makes sense.
