hello. i've read through existing questions regarding scratch disc , photoshop, yet can't seem find answer questions. appreciate tips/advice. here setup , situation:   i running imac 2.16 intel core 2 duo processor, 3 gb memory, , running os x version 10.6.4. using versions cs3 , cs4 of photoshop, plan upgrade cs5 soon.   the problem having when running photoshop, computer becomes slow. after reading possible reasons, came across couple of sources (including adobe themeselves) mentioning scratch disc should designated drive seperate drive containing operating system. since using imac allows 1 internal drive, apparent option seems external drive.   many people don't use external drive, if going to; use esata or firewire. imac have firewire 800 capabilities. should consider this?   now i'm wondering if it's bad idea purchase macbook next computer (what wanted do) because have 1 drive, not allowing seperate drive scratch disc. thoughts? i've read around net haven&#

using aw 7.0.2 file i've had ages.  nev er had issue before.  whatever reason, after making bunch of changes, , testing within program, compiled version web not reflecting changes (there numerous).  it's still showing versions of modules before made changes, if it's cached somewhere.   i've verified i'm using right version publish from, , right compile folder, deleted entire folder contents , watched fill compiled (isdn level of files).    the crazy thing didn't know authorware had undo, fact it's showing changes within program yet somehow compiling old versions, pre-changes, blowing mind.   i use suggestions, i'm out of ideas!   by way, happens when compile web style versions, if comp ile exe runtime, changes show. it seems me nice able open previously-created 32-bit hdr files in hdr pro. create number of radiance files, can process in different manners different purposes. photomatix , other hdr proggies allow reopen 32-bit file in hdr mode, why not cs5? waste of time , effort merge files every time want reprocess hdr file 16 bit. what point be?  have 32 bit image, , if want toning tools, need convert 8/16 bit.   and can reopen 32 bit image in hdr mode -- because 32 bit hdr. hello!   i've got client has built video wall consisting of 18 hd ready monitors in row, , they've asked me create short animations run on it.   the animations need rather large 24588px x 768px, not problem create, when come export them, of codecs don’t seem support such large frame size.   i can export uncompressed video, gives me 13gb files big transport easily, , cinepak seems work, client can’t seem run on system.   they’ve asked divx files, ae crashes when try export that.   i’ve tried re-encoding uncompressed video in few other programs (vlc, pro-coder, super , handbrake) none of them seem able handle such big files.   the other formats found work microsoft video 1 , microsoft rle, both of available in “thousands of colours” or 256 colours.   i’m running after effects cs3 on 32bit system.   has ever found way of encoding such large file divx?   would using newer version of ae on 64bit system help?   in fact, if has suggestions or observations @ all, gratefully re

hi everybody, i have tree component have created custom treeitemrenderer. data supplied tree nodes quite long , gets cut off i'm trying wrap text each node. renderer display text wrapped, child nodes covered parent node's text overrun. i've searched everywhere can think of can't find example of how implement this. know tree uses label default displaying text won't allow multiple lines/text wrapping there way around this? example beneficial i'm not overly familiar flex trees. btw... i'm using flex 3 hi,        such not have solution wrap long text have work around of it... if can add lines between nodes problem may solve...   just @ link   http://www.cflex.net/showfiledetails.cfm?objectid=575   it may solve problem....   if post answers question or helps, please kindly mark such. i in thread , found solution worked 1 day only.  unclicked enable hardware acceleration in flash player's settings.  might able watch 1 video on cbs or fancast or matter won't work again.  issues cannot install w/o getting error: windows has found problem file.  file blocked because not have valid digital signature verifies it's publisher.....   can't firefox or opera or else see if flash player works there.  in facebook unable start chat (have no clue if can accept one).  can't see people online in little pop - how many online.  seems needs pop or play not work anymore.  can't watch netflix movies either.  can't change privacy setting in fb either because won't show me buttons it.  have refresh pages constantly.  nothing working right....  help!!! what windows version? 32-bit or 64-bit? what web browser?   kimdu59_2 wrote:   windows has found problem file.   what file? i tried install ads_manager , followed these instruction. --> joomla 1.5.xx: turn on legacy mode, extensions -> plugin manager -> system - legacy(page2): publish. unpack package if downloaded pack_adsmanager.zip, install each package inside package file separatly via extension -> install/uninstall -> browse -> choose file click ok -> upload/install <-- this not trick. mean install each package separately. there bunch of folders unzipped. thanks what extensions installing in starting? need install component first. i've got quadcore computer 9450q cpu, 4 gigs of 1066 ram , 8800gts card. out there have similar setup.  i'm hoping for realtime mpe playback of 2 hdv tracks edited in standard def timeline (for 'pan & scan'). know i've got @ least gts 260 card) , how realtime performance quadcore , 4 gigs of ram?   can 4 gigs of ram or need 8 or 12 gigs?   i'm trying upgrade minimal investment now, hoping in year or can finish upgrade , edit realtime scarlet 3k footage, still quadcore cpu. if have experience pre i5 , i7 quadcore cpus, please let me know how do. have @ lorvar's results, has cs5 on q8300 oc'ed 4 gb memory here: ppbm4 benchmark   guessing here:   those results in region can expect end up, around 95 - 105 seconds if disk setup similar, meaning 4 or more disks. gtx-260 , mpe on, can shave off around 15 seconds. if disk setup less, lose 10 seconds. i have word document , visio drawing multiple pages, , combine them pdf file.  both documents have internal links , links each other, , maintain them when converting pdf (so not have re-add them through acrobat).  word anchors specific words on page, , visio anchors specific pages in drawing.  can maintain word bookmarks named destinations through openoffice, isn't problem.   originally able accomplish converting both of files html, linking html pages each other, , using web capture feature in acrobat 5.  however, word formatting lost, looking way convert word file directly pdf , still maintain links.   i able make of links work saving visio file html pages , linking word document.  export word document pdf, open file in acrobat 9 pro, , web capture > append links on page table of contents.  however, links html (visio) pages "file.pdf#destination" not link same file.  instead, try open file same name , become confused.   when tried in acrobat 5, append version of pdf w

i trying use cfgrid display knowledge base articles.  seems great if on couple of hurdles or eliminate possibility if can't.   i using groupfield attribute group results "question", awesome, default of group headers (questions) expanded default (showing - icon) show answer , question.  know of way have them collapsed default user can expand them see question answers?   one other issue groupfield needs cfgridcolumn , doesn't make sense since when expanded see question twice (as grouping header , column next answer).  know how make cfgridcolumn mirrors groupfield not show up?   if none of possible or requires extensive css editing understand.   any great lot. i found add stylesheet fix wrapping issue.    .x-grid3-cell-inner, .x-grid3-hd-inner{ overflow:hidden; -o-text-overflow: ellipsis; text-overflow: ellipsis; padding:3px 3px 3px 5px; white-space: normal; }   i changed white-space: nowrap normal.   now if groupfield collapsed default solid.
