i'm using lucid gnome.

have english , dutch installed; english desktop language, dutch numbers etc.

of earlier today boots dutch, although log in english uk. (it has happened before in lucid, restored backup.)

somehow can not adjust available programs.

can please point me file (both root , user) can change manually?
please tell me how need adjust file?

what 'locale' tell you? xsession script in ubuntu sources files ~/.profile , /etc/profile (and ~/.xprofile /etc/xprofile), can put locale settings there. example:

export lc_numeric="nl_nl.utf8"
look @ locale manpage different variables. rules are: lc_all if set overwrites everything, lc_* go next, if nothing set category, value in lang used.
