Combining Word and Visio Files Through HTML and PDF
i have word document , visio drawing multiple pages, , combine them pdf file. both documents have internal links , links each other, , maintain them when converting pdf (so not have re-add them through acrobat). word anchors specific words on page, , visio anchors specific pages in drawing. can maintain word bookmarks named destinations through openoffice, isn't problem.
originally able accomplish converting both of files html, linking html pages each other, , using web capture feature in acrobat 5. however, word formatting lost, looking way convert word file directly pdf , still maintain links.
i able make of links work saving visio file html pages , linking word document. export word document pdf, open file in acrobat 9 pro, , web capture > append links on page table of contents. however, links html (visio) pages "file.pdf#destination" not link same file. instead, try open file same name , become confused.
when tried in acrobat 5, append version of pdf word document. however, named destinations not maintained, of visio word links go title page of word document.
is there better way accomplish through acrobat 9 (or acrobat 5)?
additionally, acrobat 9 image map conversion not seem work did in acrobat 5. of link boxes twice big should be, making difficult click on anything. there way around this?
basically, question is: can combine 2 interlinked pdf files links in each go correct views in merged pdf? if not, there third-party application will?
could possibly make pdf portfolio maintains links? i'd prefer single file, work well.
