hello, i've been intermediate-level linux user years, , i'm supposed set , manage small network our research group. have 5 linux boxes ubuntu 10.04 (actually i'm installing need in 1 box , attempt clone others clonezilla). i've 2 questions: 1) i'd manage user accounts 1 pc (server? say), every user can log in of 5 machines same passwd etc. best/easiest/most stable application/protocol manage this? 2) possible create network logical volume, based on individual hds , visible boxes? raid0 on ethernet? suggestion of protocol/application? many thx. ovako, instalirao sam glupu jfusion komponentu, medjutim nije se instalirao authentic plugin nije radila. izasao sam iz admin panel, nisam je pre toga uninstalirao. posle kad sam hteo da se ulogujem u admin panel izbacivao mi je gresku authentical.... ja sam otisao u cpanel, pa u phpmyadmin izabrao moju bazu, promenio na jos_user pasword iz 0 u 1, promenio u jos_plugin pasword iz 0 u 1, otiso u jos_user pa pregled u polje administrator ukucao novu sifru koju sam dobio preko md5 http://pajhome.org.uk/crypt/md5/ iskopirao sifru u sql. probao sam da se ulogujem sa tom sifrom samo refresuje stranicu. prelistao sam joomla forum na svim jezicima koje znam nikako ne mogu da nadjem problem. hitno mi treba, posto idem na more prekosutra, imam dosta toga da sredim na sajtu. molim za pomoc! i running cs2. need uninstall cs2 applications, plug-ins, etc or cs5 write on them when installing? the cs5 installation leave cs2 install intact.   since cs2 did not come uninstaller, trash cs2 folder later, once thoroughly convinced you'll never need again.  however, can coexist nicely cs5.  if ever use imageready, keep cs2.  it's no-brainer, there no imageready in cs3, cs4 or cs5.   i keep last 5 versions of photoshop (7.0.1 through 11.0.1) on machine.  work fine.       wo tai lao le 我太老了 More discussions in Photoshop Macintosh (read only) adobe

so decided suck , use illustrator... seems if u r pen tool in ps, serves u fine in ai...  seems missing little, obvious, knowledge on how use ai effectively.   using live trace, default settings say, photo hi res still enough 25inch poster... messed custom settings, , making minimum area 2px give better quality render... live trace process works fine, when live paint, gives me not enough memory error , crashes.  expand works fine though, though dont know different, feel live pain better job, dont know....   i have 3.25gb running no other programs open, sucks.  when hiked 5px, worked.  heard problem in cs3 well.  not upgrading windows 7 , 8gb of memory this.   so bottom line is, when want convert large image vector high quality, u do?  should maybe work small scale (make 10inch image) , blow after, trusting vectors maintain quality?   thanks! livetrace must have given 1500-pixel-warning when tried trace artwork. should take seriously. have done testing of function , didn't deliver

i upgraded cs3 cs4, , simultaneously switched platforms windows mac osx. can't find option deleting unused swatches in swatch palette menu , i'm starting feel insane because i've run several searches , no information popping anywhere. can help?   you can go to the finder > adobe photoshop > presets > color swatches folder , delete unwanted swatches there make sure first identify ones want delete. hi everyone. new forum , casual user of pp @ work. don't experience pp never had problems far. so, here case i import hdv footage project, cut scenes razor tool , move them timeline join clip. apply transition , when testing-previewing there comes 1 or two  frames belong previous clip had cut razor tool. i clear-remove  transition , previewing cannot see these frames. i try , redo whole case selecting cut-razot point contour shuttle. move clip join clip. apply transition , again can see in middle of transition frame belongs previous razored clip. any idea going on here? thanks in advance start reading handles in manual or file. going on here. hi guyz,   i have air application wherein have search screen. when user hits search button, database call being triggered , sql result being displayed in datagrid.   however, data retrieval process takes time , screen hangs out. looking solution can display loading image, , not make screen hang out, user can @ least make out happening in background.   i tried use titlewindow , placed loading image on there. popup never appears on screen.   looking ahead discussion/solution.   thanks, hitesh patel. i added debugging info see part of process time consuming. found query execution taking 20 sec. converting data (~12000 records) array , setting dataprovider datagrid taking ~2 mins.   is there better way create dataprovider datagrid other converting array??     thanks, hitesh patel. i installed ubuntu 10.04 via alternate cd full disk encryption. wanted alter grub2 menu installed burg after reading thread: http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2010/07/b...-themeing.html once opened burg manager application prompted install burg , asked install it. default sda bad if you're running full disk encryption. did this. should have chosen /dev/mapper/computername-root /dev/sda1 . have nice pretty burg screen doesn't take me unlock screen. make matters worse, before realized had done, used nice gui restore grub /dev/sda . believe need remove grub2/burg /dev/sda , somehow mbr looking in right place again. able choose, “ubuntu gnu/linux ,with linux 2.6.32-24-generic (recovery mode)” . rather sloppily enter passphrase, choose boot normal option, enter username & password, startx . i've been browsing forums day , can't seem find similar screw up. ideas on how rid of grub /dev/sda , mbr looking @ /dev/sda1 again i

hallo,   seit einiger zeit versuche ich  mit encore cs4 eine dvd-video mit 5.1-sound zu erstellen. ich erhalte  auf der fertigen dvd aber immer nur stereo. ich habe eine  ac3-datei (5.1) erstellt, damit encore nicht transcodieren muss. was  muss ich sonst noch beachten? oder geht 5.1 nicht mit encore dvd?   zur arbeitsweise:   in encore dvd cs4 steht die ac3-datei auf "nicht transkodieren". der original-mix  wurde exportiert mit nuendo (wav 5.1). mit besweet wurde daraus eine ac3-datei erstellt. diese lässt sich z.b. mit soundbooth cs4  öffnen. alle sechs spuren der ac3 werden sauber wiedergegeben und  angezeigt.   wo liegt der fehler? oder geht mit encore dvd nur ac3-stereo?   die deadline ist nächste woche. bitte antworten...   besten dank! hey whats guys, been having alot of issued illustrator (cs2) lately did fresh reinstall.   everything seemed in working order until tried open 2000 dxf file , got "unknown format , cannot opened" dialog.   i sure cad must 2004 or expoted again , got same issue. looked bit further , noticed file > open menu doesn't have option dxf/dwg.   what could've caused feature stripped out of new install? there way fix this?   ryan what's guys, quick update on situation.   after more tinkering around discovered illustrator couldn't print any documents, discovering additional errors updates , adobe bridge.   so somewhere along line "adobe suite" got screwed up, starting random error messages in photoshop.   in end solution uninstall illustrator & photoshop, reinstall them both (ps first.)   that seemed reinstall few shared componenets (like bridge) got , running again...glad worked, go figure.   rg More discussions in Illustrator adobe

i installed gnome-do via apt-get, themes disabled besides classic on preference page. downloaded pretty every package , didn't help. trying use docky theme. i'm on eeeubuntu base i believe need have compiz-fusion active use more advanced themes. docky knwo needs it. on eeepc, you're more or less out of luck unless want strain computer , slow down drain battery. ok, application might sound bit odd.  trying figure out kind of sensor might use used sense when person moves or hand close face.  need sensors small , unobtrusive wearer -- and, said, sensors have wearable.  new physical computing, don't know right direction explore.  the precision of measurement not have exact -- and, type of data looking collect doing running count.  example, ideal sensor bracelets, perhaps embedded magnets.  then, sensor connected persons collar or necklace.  so, assume person has chronic nail biting habit.  each time persons hand went or mouth, log event.  of course, isn't precise measurement because indicates whether hand reached general area of mouth.  and, yes, have lot of false positives in event of sneezing, scratching, , eating, these errors in data collection managed point of view.  again, really  trying solve problem of identifying event when person's hand goes close or face.  any suggestions sensors consider? thanks in advance!

ok, so, here's interesting problem. have 64-bit machine set nvidia graphics card, set dual-head secondary output tv multimedia. now, correct resolution display 1680x1050. listed 1 of available resolutions in nvidia control panel. however, when set resolution display, whole display shifted 400px left. means ubuntu menu out of sight on side of display, , there's wide black bar down right-hand side. handful of other resolutions well. 1680x1050 worked brief period of time, can't seem coerce behaving life of me! i've tried manually setting modeline in xorg.conf file in order specify display properties, after disabling automatic resolution selection via edid, in case can 'unsupported output' monitor. i've tried both versions of driver listed in hardware manager, no avail. have ideas? here's info machine: card id: 01:00.0 vga compatible controller: nvidia corporation g94 [geforce 9600 gt] (rev a1) nvidi

hello, decided create new post because 1 found on forum pretty old , got no response. not sure start think i'll start problem first. have ubuntu 10.04 , vpnc , default gnome settings, , gnome network manager. wanted computer connected corporate network using vpnc. got pcf converted vpnc.conf , got connected using terminal. works well. wanted vpn client configured in such way not have go terminal each time , type commands looking client. gnome network manager has got vpn tab, imported pcf file. problem when click on vpn , newly created profile fails connect, not ask me user name , password. put user name , password vpn profile , got connected successfully. can't see myself go , edit vpn profile each time want put pin , random code, wish network manager ask me user name , password put on fly. there way of configuring ? don't need use gnome network manager it. if advise software / tools use , configure graphical human friendly interf

i following "error: 1635" when tried recent update adobe reader 9.3.2.  tried remove re-installed , same thing occurred.  tried adobe , same thing occurred.  occurring on development computer.  on laptop adobe reader updated without problem.  got ideas how correct?  adobe faq previous versions unload , re-install, remove gets same error. i assuming on windows.  use google find download location windows installer cleanup utility, install it, run it.  select adobe reader , click 'remove'.   now install 9.3.0 again, , 3 update patches. har installert siste versjon av norsk joomla og når jeg logger inn brukere så hopper logg inn noen ganger til logg ut, andre ganger til en tom side og noen ganger til forsiden. når jeg logger ut så blir ikke bruker logget ut backend. dersom jeg er på en spesiell side og logger ut og inn igjen, så kommer jeg på sist besøkte side, men nå som blank og dersom jeg klikker på hjem og tilbake til samme side igjen, så er den fortsatt blank. andre ting som skjer er @ hjem plutselig ikke fungerer, men dersom jeg klikker på logo så kommer jeg hjem. server har php 5.2.10 så det burde ikke være dette. er dette noe som enkelt kan fikses? i'm getting close completing editing of joomla template. have set in firefox. however, in ie, first old banner showing up. deleted image templates image forlder , no image showing up. banner shows fine in firefox. site dbshears.com thanks can provide. this odd 1 , spent few minutes on it. the header.jpg being downloaded ie's cache refuses display. imaging program opens no issue. dragged header.jpg file ie see if display , not - red x appeared. so went imaging program , resaved header.jpg different file. ie shows it. so "fix" resave file. there current header.jpg ie not like. btw - ie not alone. chrome doesn't show either safari (for windows) does. we have site contains both public , registered pages. the public home page contains login module on left. the member login module correctly redirects page /index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=53&itemid=138&lang=en . however, if login , type in root page url (without /index.php....) public home page displayed without login module. i want set site if logged in , go root url page redirect correct logged in page. images included here (in reverse order). any appreciated. did figure out? have same question [though yours more stated] i'm itching solution!!
