Reader 9.3 critical failure

i had auto updater install reader 9.3 on system , after reboot acrobat reader not function on level.

the update seems have caused corruption other windows functions few in house apps, daemon tools, , steam having crashing issues. these issues can result of software update no other change computer took place before these errors began pop up.

 

i have tried uninstalling , reinstalling adobe 9.3 in safe mode - no effect. reader fails open message "acrobat failed load core dll"

i have rolled 3 restore points before update - no effect. reader fails open message "acrobat failed load core dll"

i have manually deleted , used windows uninstall before attempting reinstallation - no effect. reader fails open message "acrobat failed load core dll"

 

 

what possibly have been changed in update cause such sudden , massive failure of applications have nothing pdf files?

"acrobat failed load core dll" literally returns thousands of hits on google.  have looked @ some, few offer insight.  2 possibilities

  1. your antivirus software or firewall may prevent reader installation completing.  try disable before attempting reinstall.
  2. after uninstalling, try delete adobe reader references program files\adobe , program files\common files\adobe (but not in registry).

How to update nested ListCollectionViews?

hi troops,   my application has core set of items (e.g. products), gets passed between various view layers. each layer wraps given input list in listcollectionview, , adds own sorting , filtering.   that way might have construct similar to   new listcollectionview(new listcollectionview(new arraycollection()))   but, of course, sorting/filtering added on each level.   now when call itemupdated() on root arraycollection, change not propagate hierarchy of lists.   it seems each wrapping, have call itemupdated(), such as:   ac.itemupdated(product); ac.itemupdated(product);   to make top-most listcollectionview update. single call not trick.   debugging code gave me insight initial collectionevent.update event ac converted move event listcollectionview. second call makes lcv realize item wouldn't move anymore , not convert event, next lcv can item-moved update of localindex.   yes, yes, complicated. feedback welcome, of course for single o...
