hi guys, im new site, ubuntu , linux in general. let me start apologising no capitals in post, cap locks button broken. so, i've downloaded 10.04 lst x64desktop iso , burned 4 different discs. 3 dvd's , 1 cd. have same problem. first screen linux (the first menu after turning on pc , selecting disc boot, has ubuntu logo on it.) , select item (though here, test mode). when select anything, begins spin up, , loads up, can hear going crazy, reading well, screen goes blank. few moments later, screen blank, disc stops, ! nothing starts isc again, if leave there. , happens each disc. also, im using laptop (not netbook, proper laptop). these spec of laptop : cpu : intel penitum dual cpu t2330 @ 1.60 ghz each gpu : ati (sorry, best know gpu, re-installed windows 7) ram : 1gb trying boot windows 7 well, , have never had problems dual boo before, deleted partitions, , started hdd if new. if can this, i'd appreciate alot ! so, i'm totally new linux , ubuntu , everything-i'm running ubuntu 10.04 btw- have pretty serious problem using terminal. anytime i'm in terminal , asks password, doesn't seem recognize keys press, exception of enter. try put password in, nothing appears. try mashing s crap-load of buttons, nothing shows on command line. hit enter, blinky light thing (sorry complete lack of terminology) goes down next line second , says i've entered incorrect password. although in few seconds before says can type, , can type prior needing password. if there can absolutely fantastic, me on fixing few other problems seem having {i.e. laptop not correctly recognizing dvd-rw drive, issues ps3 media server, among others) thank guys much, , i'm sorry being such retard/noob if easy fix i've overlooked it normal don't see anything. type password when prompt appears, , press enter.

hello world, when enable server cache on global configuration weird happens of users. i on local intranet , system recognises person , authorises edit access concrete page (by showing edit icon on front-end). as administrator, don't have problems. other users not have problems either. users when click edit button, nothing happens. can solve issue cleaning out cache (on tools menu) annoying these users , not sure problem not go beyond that. does know going on? i run complete desktop , home directory network nfs share. since latest flash update, browsers slow , stall* when loading page more 1 flash video (for example this bbc sport football page ).   *freezes browser until whole page video loaded.   how fix this? not possible run desktop , application locally... it looks problem occurs using bbc website - suspect has iplayer videos...   can suggest anything? hi everyone. trying install 10.04 on gm5643e (see hyperlink specs, of using factory specs) hdd died, bought new seagate barracuda 320g hdd, , hoping make ubuntu os on machine. far, best can hang on ubuntu loading screen alternating red , white dots. have tried deleting quiet splash text end of the command line when install highlighted, , have tried installing alternate download disc, same results. have tried available boot parameters f6 option, still nothing. ideas anyone? tried thread on install section, thought place might better suited me considering such newbie ubuntu. here's other thread has say... in advance. has ever tried machine? looks need pro one... olá, comecei usar joomla tem pouco mais de uma semana. então ainda estou um pouco perdido e não estou conseguindo resolver um simples problema. É o seguinte: quando o usuário vai editar seu perfil no community builder, situação é seguinte: até ai ok. porém, quando clica na aba ao lado ( contato profissional ), página "corta" informações: como fazer para isso não acontecer? agradeço qualquer tipo de ajuda. ps: estou usando ultima versão cb e joomla versão 1.5.11 isso eu acredito que seja problema no seu template... teria que ver isso acontecendo pra tentar dar alguma solução, fica díficil passar o link site?? hi,   when use watch folder start point takes diffault path (/watched folder/[applcation name]/....).   but when invoke process, while deploying process, shows failed operation dialogue box saying " failure create directory /watched folder".   if give path created folder showing same error.   can body tell me why showing error...       regards sunil livecycle doesn't have write access folder trying watch.  when specify watched folder, livecycle create input, stage, , failure folder.  without write access, can't create , give error.
