Flash Player 10.1 for Linux Debian 64bits
hello
i debian lenny 64bits user , trying install flash player 10.1 or can play flash files in webpages, web browser "iceweasel", default browser in debian linux, it's based in mozilla firefox code.
i can't configure flash player, i'm desesperate.
in downloads section of adobe's website there arent version 64bits debian based linux (or can't found it).
i have searched in forums.adobe.com , other forums solutions have found don't work or browser crashes.
i tryed install flash player 10.1 i386 ubuntu (debian based) architecture ia32-libs , workaround emulation didn't work either.
the open source swf players dont play version 10 files.
somebody knows how install adobe flash player 10.1 in 64bits debian based system or how can view correctly flash contents in web pages without installs windows or 32bits linux? (i need 64bits debian system job)
why adobe compiles 32bits debian package , don't compiles 64bits? adobe compiles native 64bits versions private operating systems microsoft or macos. think adobe must renewed in topic (or disclose source code , don't make monopoly).
pd: sorry english
there not many options since adobe doesn't care 64 bit users. guess arrogantly expect everone work around them since major plugin maker hasn't managed handle 64 bits yet.
you have 2 basic options:
1: can find old beta 64 bit version , use warned there known security issues version.
2: can set 32 bit chroot environment , run entire browser , plugins there. has downside breaks cutting , pasting inside browser outside apps , need login chroot regulairly install security updates.
