Thread: Cannot Connect Wirelessly
this first computer i've used linux os on; doesn't have else on there (previous os [vista, ugh], corrupt).
have linksys wusb54gv4 wireless network adapter. got driver installed, believe may have gotten installed ndiswrapper, doesn't seem functional, , know have installed other program, comes wireless network drivers.
says: rt2500usb (chip set think), hardware present: yes.
last time checked, said hardware not present, , assumed card broken (it rather old).
i've tried rebooting, reinstalling driver, , i've googled extensively; can't find has let me fix problem.
i'm not sure information guys need possibly diagnose problem, tower has amd 64 athlon 2 (not sure how relevant is), , i'm running 64-bit ubuntu it, version 10.04 far can tell.
also, seem missing network manager (i think gnome application or something), , haven't been able install (but under synaptic package manager shows up).
idea going on? i'd appreciate it.
