Thread: Log Overflowing with read/write wait queue active


hello everyone,

having trouble ubuntu 9.10

reason logs keep overflowing. have attached screenshot , snippet of kernel log too.

i looked /dev/pts/ , there no pts4 present, can suggest steps can take ?
looked @ processes top , have attached screenshot, main running process dd, dont understand trying do.

syslog has same messages

i can reboot system have hard reboot because these messages stop reboot while fill logs. dont know when these messages start. running.

linux 2.6.31-22-generic #61-ubuntu

i have 3 identical, clonezilla'ed, notebooks running 10.04.1 lts , 1 of them getting sick, spewing mode every 3 days. requires hard boot running.

perhaad, how did around problem?
