custom user reg fields, newsletter integration - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
hi all,
not long set first joomla site , looking @ user registration process there seems limited number of fields, such name, username, email etc. have read on forum plugin called usermeta not sure right situation , whether fields created accessible newsletter extension.
when set user myself using admin interface possible link user contact record provides fields telephone , address etc. contact info intended end users of site? there way link contact component user reg form site visitor can supply of these additional details @ registration?
i wanting offer users ability of joining newsletter recommendations on appreciated.
the reason ask don't know whether there newsletter solution improve initial user registration can capture information @ point.
anyone been down journey can give me bump in right direction great.

they're 2 separate considerations...
mostly due spamming laws (yeah, know, ones complying) want newsletter component - track subscriptions, automate "unsubscribe" process, , importantly, can demonstrate each user opted subscribe, , sent email confirmation. oh, , easy control templating , article selection great too. imo, defines acajoom well.
as extended registration, don't think can beat community builder. use or little of functionality like, doesn't care.
