Trying to upgrade to TCS 2.5 - odd results

hi all,

 

using tcs 2 on windows 7 64 bit. no issues. bought tcs 2.5 upgrade , i'm trying install (plenty of ram, etc.).  when went install am, far have 2 issues:

 

1) captivate 5 installed, captivate 4 still in place. why?

2) when try install cs5 says "installer indicates machine restart pending" , can either quit installer (recommended) or ignore , continue. far, i've quit installer b/c don't want crash system

 

has else installed tcs 2.5? i've been on hold adobe 20 minutes after being told had 4 minute wait time, i'm not terribly hopeful i'm going adobe support...
