Thread: Kobo not recognised in Ubuntu

i running asus 1005ha ubuntu 10.04 , have purchased kobo ebook reader. asus recognises kobo usb device, there no application automatically loads transfer books laptop or otherwise manage content. installed calibre, reads books on laptop hard drive not recognise kobo. calibre not have plug in kobo, , can't find location plug in. tried installing wine , adobe ade, didn't seem connect device.

know how connect content management app in ubuntu new kobo?

got kobo ereader setup running , has been trial. run lucid on acer eee netbook.

should @ following thread first getting adobe digital editions running under wine if haven't already. explains downloading book. (see #34 , ones following. simpler #33 , managed work me.)

ok, have urllink.acsm , have managed download book hard drive.

used calibre put book on kobo. using version ubuntu software center, version 0.6.42, not have kobo drivers. (i think if download calibre web site do.)

anyway, need use "save disk" function, writing kobo, seen usb drive. chose "save single folder" option , created new folder author's name (dickens, charles).
calibre save book, image cover , metadata in folder.

cf_sql_integer vs cf_sql_bigint vs cf_sql_int??

i have id (primary key) set bigint in sql server. have query following: where whateverid = <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_integer" value="#url.id#"> i got invalid data type it. tried: where whateverid = <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_bigint" value="#url.id#"> i still got invalid data type it. tried: where whateverid = <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_int" value="#url.id#"> and worked. the weird thing cf_sql_int not listed being accepted: http://www.adobe.com/livedocs/coldfusion/5.0/cfml_reference/tags79.htm can explain me. > whateverid = <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_bigint" value="#url.id#"> what value of #url.id#? had no problems either using cf8. > weird thing cf_sql_int not listed being accepted: iirc, when pass in invalid sql type cf uses default: cf_sql_char, accepts anything. ms sql implicit convert() right type , why works.
