according adobe support, supposed click button in bookshelf , tell copy.  not seem have button.  can me find or give directions copy purchased books external hard drive in case computer crashes. sound got bad advice support - there no support backup within adobe digital editions.  files need .pdf , .epub files  in document folder under my  digital edtions ( document , digital editions folder on mac). to determine actual location of particular file, inside  of ade can select book , press ctrl (cmd on mac) - bring  "more info" dialog display full path file.     however important thing can books make sure have authorized adobeid.  if activated anonymously backing book files won't because not able access them if computer signficantly change (os upgrade etc...), since tied activations on machine.  check see authorized adobeid, select "authorize computer..." the problem have when increase size of gnome-panel (say, double size 48px), of icons on panel scale panel size. i'm left horrible mismatch of different sized icons (check screenshot). there way force icons equal sizes without having manually edit png files each icon? ubuntu 10.04 ambiance theme attached images screenshot.png (7.9 kb, 24 views) as far know, seems thing can find offending icons in file system, open them in gimp , resize them. i've done panel backgrounds themes use them, because prefer have panel @ 36px instead of default 24px gnome uses default. actually, i'm using xfce, same concept still applies, regardless of desktop environment. i have adobe production cs5 working except encore has following message; "the application has failed start because side-by-side configuration inncorrect. please see application event log or use command-line sxstrace.exe tool more details."   i've no idea event log or sxstrace tool is.   this on brand new compueter windows 7 ultimate 64 bit 12gb ram , nvidia geoforce gtx 285 video card. other programs have installed have been windows office home edition, adobe reader 9 , quicktime 7. other programs fine eg premier, after effects, soundbooth etc. advice appreciated. hi ,   just restart machine , try launching encore again.   thanks minu More discussions in Encore adobe

today did second install of photoshop cs5, in 32 bit windows 7 virtual machine otherwise in fine health (up date, yada yada).   the photoshop installer package had used prior successful installation on x64 windows 7 system didn't have quite luck on 32 bit system...  wouldn't default install @ all, , when disabled uac , configured options disabled (no need 'em testing), still emitted errors - though in latter case completed photoshop installation , able run photoshop.   note after first failure disabled uac.  installs done administrator account, though did not run installer administrator while uac on.   this not big deal - needed test did installed, thought chris or @ adobe might know installer barfed on.  here's reported:   first install, failed utterly:   exit code: 6 -------------------------------------- summary -------------------------------------- - 10 fatal error(s), 23 error(s), 6 warning(s) warning: payload: adobe photoshop cs5 core...
