Customer can't install AIR - error 3001 - (with installation log file)

i have customer wasreceiving error 3001 when try install our app.  put him through our normal course of troubleshooting steps work installation trouble):

 

(our app called ynab 3)

  1. go control panel->add/remove programs or control panel->uninstall program
  2. uninstall ynab 3 , adobe air if listed.
  3. download , run microsoft installer cleanup utility
  4. remove ynab or air files shown utility
  5. delete air files or folders within: c:\program files\common files\
  6. delete "ynab" folder or folders within: c:\program files\
  7. download & install adobe air
  8. download & install ynab 3

 

he tried running installer -uninstall switch continues have trouble.  log files still points error 3001, , says freezing when tries install air.  see screenshot sent:

fwiw, error 3001 indicates file or directory permissions issue: "file or directory access denied." (i don't know how permissions might go awry, though.)

hi troops,   my application has core set of items (e.g. products), gets passed between various view layers. each layer wraps given input list in listcollectionview, , adds own sorting , filtering.   that way might have construct similar to   new listcollectionview(new listcollectionview(new arraycollection()))   but, of course, sorting/filtering added on each level.   now when call itemupdated() on root arraycollection, change not propagate hierarchy of lists.   it seems each wrapping, have call itemupdated(), such as:   ac.itemupdated(product); ac.itemupdated(product);   to make top-most listcollectionview update. single call not trick.   debugging code gave me insight initial collectionevent.update event ac converted move event listcollectionview. second call makes lcv realize item wouldn't move anymore , not convert event, next lcv can item-moved update of localindex.   yes, yes, complicated. feedback welcome, of course for single o...
