Spinning wheel - files won't open

i'm trying run batch on 1200 images unable complete action on single file.  instead spinning wheel once file open.  tried open singe file aren't opening @ all.  i've shut down program , reopened nothing changes.

how quickly!

 

i don’t understand problem, but:

what kind of operations trying record?

have tried trashing prefs yet?
