Thread: how to allow GNOME use external attached monitor as default display?

hi, using ati hd3200 graphics card, , running ubuntu 10.04 lucid on laptop. have vga port can attach external lcd monitor laptop. using fglrx driver.

question how should configure xorg.conf file when attached external monitor, gnome menu bar (applications, places , system, etc) put on external monitor instead of laptop lcd monitor.

have checked varies web resource saying can drag , drop gnome menu bar new screen, never worked. suggested add new bar screen , gnome remember it, can't find option that.

option here?

found solution, alt+drag work!!!
