Thread: What's the most lightweight java IDE?

hi,

bring netbook ever go, use programming time. used have windows 7 on , java eclipse worked fine , fast me. recently, formatted hole hard disk , installed ubuntu (cause sick of windows 7, of course)
while using ubuntu, java eclipse works slower how worked on windows.
wondering if there's java ide ubuntu (10.04) faster , more lightweight eclipse. in fact, i'm looking lightweight java ide.
(i have toshiba nb200 1 gb of ram)

tnx in advance.

the lightweight solution not use ide @ all, text editor , build , run command-line.

use intellij idea ce java development , works fine me.
ok, startup bit slow , step debugger isn't lightning fast, otherwise suits needs, , far best ide java development imo.

try out jedit in repository:
sudo apt-get install jedit

got 1 gb ram , feel eclipse sluggish. should run fine half of ram, maybe other going on.
should check how ram , cpu eclipse uses top or htop:
