Thread: 10.04 windows minimize themselves

i running ubuntu 10.04 netbook on thinkpad t23 1.13ghz p iii, 768mb ram, , 30gb hard drive.

install worked okay, went smoothly , seems work. however, since booted live cd now, whenever open window, automatically minimizes taskbar again. program window stay open maybe 3 seconds, less.

i've looked around possibles causes, , haven't heard of happening before. appreciated.
