how to export ascii from InDesign CS4?

i have client needs indesign cs4 text in ascii format re-purposing. "text only" export option not give true ascii, can't have accented characters or symbols , various other characters (degree sign, instance). can search symbol , fonts , change characters manually before exporting. there way either export rest of text real ascii or search non-ascii characters within indesign?

i going post "that's nonsense!" (or more polite version thereof) turns out you're right. cs3 export unicode only. remember more robust text export options in earlier versions (cs?) perhaps memory faulty - text import options more robust.

 

best can offer off top of head export rtf, , use word save raw text (and you'll forest of export options).
