Halos when blurring background using gaussian blur
can please me?!!! i'm getting frustrated....i can't seem blur background in photos without seeing halos around foreground main focus of picture.
i have tried blurring whole picture , erasing subject...but doesn't work. have tried inverting , feathering still hasn't worked.
and also, best way blur background keep someones hair in focus?

the best way use of mask.
- open picture
- duplicate background layer
- blur background copy layer
- open levels adjustment layer, nothing yet
- drag adjustment layer, in layers palette, between background , background copy layers
- left click layer mask thumbnail (white rectangle) in adjustment layer
- link background copy layer , levels adjustment layer (layer>create clipping mask or ctrl+g)
- paint black brush want area in focus. if go far, correct white
hints:
- can toggle between black , white x on keyboard
- use bracket keys change brush size - [ make smaller ] make larger.
