Thread: Pulling out of hibernate boots into Windows
hi ubuntu people!
i've swapped windows 7 ubuntu lucid lynx , haven't looked - except fact moving photoshop gimp difficult.
digress.
suspend works nicely (what blessing ) hibernate doesn't.
ubuntu 10.04 installed on 500gb seagate external hard drive plugged usb port on motherboard. bios set boot off of automatically (boot order).
windows 7 installed on 160gb () internal drive.
problem not when put hibernate, it's when pull out of hibernate. when computer tries unhibernate windows! doh!

model: compaq presario cq60-419-wm
video card: nvidia geforce 8200m g
processor: amd sempron () 2.1 ghz
ram: 3gb
os shipped with: vista basic ()
is there bios setting fix or something?

so, you're in ubuntu -> hibernate -> start pc -> pc tries start windows instead of ubuntu, right?
i'm not experienced ubuntu user, hibernate , switch windows, can switch ubuntu.
did:
- install uswsusp: sudo apt-get install uswsusp (kind of hibernation program)
- edit /etc/uswsusp.conf liking (check 'resume device')
- hibernate: sudo s2disk
note: did because want reboot after hibernate, can switch os. not sure if you, works me normal hibernation worked well...
