new system build complete , formatting in hour , installing os's. running 64 bit quadcore system , plan dual boot ubuntu , windows 7 ultimate. however, torn on filesystem use.
have been out of pc craze past 2 years familiarizing myself mechanics , modifications of fast cars. have returned, has changed left catch i'm coming here quick answer.
running 1tb raid 10 array, , not want split drivespace evenly each os. approach better idea? should use ntfs or ext3? plans machine ubuntu everyday computing , games run natively on linux. windows 7 reserved games run on windows in fact, gaming reason not switching solely linux machine. now, each operating system , it's programs installed , run on it's own native filesystem ntfs windows , ext3 ubuntu. torn filesystem store else on. should movies, music , games stored on ext3 or ntfs filesystem? curious cpu utilization, access time , overall performance of both ext3 within windows , ntfs within linux. music , movies aren't concern 1 thing put emphasis on how system performance impacted when running native linux game within linux on ntfs filesystem?
also, leaning towards ext3 benefits of 1 on other?
