Positive Post - System that works.

hi all.

 

i read issues that  folks having , today decided need share positive  expierence.

 

i had couple of initial issues most  win 7 / driver related. after got squared away editing  , rendering banshee. can render , surf web @ same  time, check e-mail etc, no issues. surfing , mail take  cycles away render machine has yet crash.today alone rendered 32 minute hd clip 4 times, kept tweaking without reboot, without crash, without anything. projects complex transitions, effect (mostly stabilize, talk cpu eater) , many clips, stills, sound bytes , photoshop titles.

 

here  system.

 

i have win 7 64 bit home premium, keep  updated frequently.

 

i installed pre update when  became available, on 8.01.

 

cpu - amd  phenom ii  955 quad core - talk banshee.(stock cooler, runs  53c under 98% load while rendering, within spec)

mobo - asrock m3a77de

video card - msi r4550 hd ati radeon  ati 10.6 driver.

rosewell usb2.0 in 1 card reader

dvd  - liteon sata 24x internal writer -ihas424-98y

memory - 4gb  patriot dram - 1333 (running @ 1066)

hdd - western digital be  sata 1 tb wd10000lsrtl - 1 big partition, use scratch / os and  other. c: drive.(probably not recommended disk is  very fast. plan down road move os ssd disk  , keep 1 rendering).

 

i up  fantom 1tb green drive on e-sata connection.

 

that's  , rock solid. did have issues if rendering hd  video 60+ minutes(had occational freeze beeping, typical of  ram)  dropped dram down 1066 , have not seen  crash.

 

most of video comes canon hf20  hd camcorder old school panasonic dv , few other  sources have laying around.

 

my advice for  be, make sure system stable before attempting pre.  experience pre find potential hardware issues have  , point them out well.

cf_sql_integer vs cf_sql_bigint vs cf_sql_int??

i have id (primary key) set bigint in sql server. have query following: where whateverid = <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_integer" value="#url.id#"> i got invalid data type it. tried: where whateverid = <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_bigint" value="#url.id#"> i still got invalid data type it. tried: where whateverid = <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_int" value="#url.id#"> and worked. the weird thing cf_sql_int not listed being accepted: http://www.adobe.com/livedocs/coldfusion/5.0/cfml_reference/tags79.htm can explain me. > whateverid = <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_bigint" value="#url.id#"> what value of #url.id#? had no problems either using cf8. > weird thing cf_sql_int not listed being accepted: iirc, when pass in invalid sql type cf uses default: cf_sql_char, accepts anything. ms sql implicit convert() right type , why works.
