Deactivate Photoshop Before Upgrade OS From Vista to Win7

i'm upgrade laptop vista windows 7, using "upgrade" install option install win 7 on top of vista rather reformeting , doing 'clean install' don't have reinstall programs after upgrade finished.  installed software includes lightroom 2.7 , photoshop cs4.  photoshop still activated after os upgraded or should deactivate first, upgrade os, , reactivate after new os takes over?  in other words, upgrading os make photoshop think it's been installed on machine?
