Thread: ad-hoc network and RSSI value


hi,

i'm trying connect 2 laptops using wireless (without ap using ad-hoc mode) , upon connection rssi value each network card. 2 laptops have different wireless cards (intel pro/wireless 4965 agn , intel pro/wireless 2200bg). ubuntu 10.04 running on both laptops. i'm using ioctl() call rssi value.

problem:

when laptops connected , want rssi value, ioctl() call, on laptop intel pro/wireless 4965 agn card, gives "siocgiwstat on wlan0 : operation not supported" error. program works fine on other laptop! wonder if knows problem configuration. searched lot on google couldn't fix .
