Thread: Top panel get distorted

hello,

when laptop (asus x83vm) first boots , lucid (10.04) loads, top panel on right hand side power button, date, user name, volume control, mail icon, battery level, etc, 'garbly-gook.' 'garbly-gook' mean icons over-lapping , missing. if move panel different location (right or left, not bottom), panel seems reset , no longer garbly-gook.

have ideas?

does this? (see attachment, right, above arrow) happening regularly on wife's , son's accounts, never on mine.

correct it, have right-click on top panel, select properties, , change pixels , down sec. resets panel usable.
