Thread: Trouble with Lucid on a Toshiba Satellite L635-S3015

hello everyone,

finished installing ubuntu 10.04 (amd64 architecture) on new laptop, toshiba satellite l635-s3015. i'm having lots of problems. here's list.

1. install system, had add "acpi=off" in boot parameters, because otherwise system hangs. , of course need add in grub.cfg file, same reason. think reason why hotkeys aren't working (volume control, wifi switch etc.).

2. wireless card isn't detected. card intel corporation wimax/wifi link 6050 series (rev 57). ifconfig doesn't detect it, , if run

obtain

siocsifflags: no such file or directory
first attempt of fixing problem install winxp driver via ndiswrapper. ndiswrapper -l shows driver installed, still, card isn't working.

3. wired ethernet card isn't working. posted problem have in relevant thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.p...23#post9682123)

4. strangest of all, when plug in usb stick, doesn't mount it. lsusb shows plugged in, there no /dev/sdb file.

should change distro? should fight against each 1 of these problems , attempt solve them?

moment, feel disencourage wishing use ubuntu 10.04 buy laptop.

cf_sql_integer vs cf_sql_bigint vs cf_sql_int??

i have id (primary key) set bigint in sql server. have query following: where whateverid = <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_integer" value="#url.id#"> i got invalid data type it. tried: where whateverid = <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_bigint" value="#url.id#"> i still got invalid data type it. tried: where whateverid = <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_int" value="#url.id#"> and worked. the weird thing cf_sql_int not listed being accepted: http://www.adobe.com/livedocs/coldfusion/5.0/cfml_reference/tags79.htm can explain me. > whateverid = <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_bigint" value="#url.id#"> what value of #url.id#? had no problems either using cf8. > weird thing cf_sql_int not listed being accepted: iirc, when pass in invalid sql type cf uses default: cf_sql_char, accepts anything. ms sql implicit convert() right type , why works.
