Thread: How to make Scrabble work

i've downloaded linux native version of scrabble(scrabble_1.9-1.tar.gz) , extracted it. don't know do. folder extraction made(scrabble) has application file can run game terminal application not on board looks game. haven't been able figure out how input move. instructions say...

enter word "yxd <word>" (y=row, x=col, d=a/d) or "help" other commands.

there make file may little screwy. seem work @ when run in terminal runs less second , closes. normal?

game working not in terminal second best thing if tell me how input move. suggestions appreciated.

i'm guessing have found terminal version of 'scrabble' called scribble.

the game 'looking' 'y' coordinates, 'x' coordinates, found @ sides , top , bottom of 'board, , 'a' / 'd' across or down option, put space between 'yxd' , word can make letters in 'rack' me, letters are:

so play word 'trunked' @ y=3, x=7 , across. therefore, enter:
