Thread: DVD Playback issue

ok, have fresh install of ubuntu 10.04 on computer. planning on using computer video sever xbmc , fuppes, i'm experiencing problems.

right after installing ubuntu , updating it, checked make sure universe, multiverse, , medibuntu repositories added. insalled libdvdread4 , libdvdcss2 (i used script in /usr/share/doc/libdvdread4 though had medibuntu repo). after doing still had no video output dvds, installed of gstreamer libs(gross) , got totem play dvds. however, it's super choppy (because it's using gstreamer).

mplayer, xbmc, , other totem w/gstreamer still cannot play dvds. suspected maybe there issue drive it's blu-ray drive. a) output of lshw -c disk looks fine , ripped movie iso , still encountered same problems.

please not bother replying if going post links generic libdvdcss install guides.

otherwise suggestions appreciated.

in advance.

have tried updating , rebooting? install entire medibuntu repository rather 2 packages.

when use mint never have worry messing around stuff. works first time out. use dvd version flash , extras installed.

cf_sql_integer vs cf_sql_bigint vs cf_sql_int??

i have id (primary key) set bigint in sql server. have query following: where whateverid = <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_integer" value="#url.id#"> i got invalid data type it. tried: where whateverid = <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_bigint" value="#url.id#"> i still got invalid data type it. tried: where whateverid = <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_int" value="#url.id#"> and worked. the weird thing cf_sql_int not listed being accepted: http://www.adobe.com/livedocs/coldfusion/5.0/cfml_reference/tags79.htm can explain me. > whateverid = <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_bigint" value="#url.id#"> what value of #url.id#? had no problems either using cf8. > weird thing cf_sql_int not listed being accepted: iirc, when pass in invalid sql type cf uses default: cf_sql_char, accepts anything. ms sql implicit convert() right type , why works.
