Merging HTML Output Created in FrameMaker and Word

hi,

 

our company uses epublisher 2008 convert framemaker books html. customer asking take html output created word doc , merge our html set. need merge html created word html created framemaker.

 

for familiar webworks epublisher, have framemaker adapter license, not word adapter license our user doc using framemaker.

 

webworks offering costly solution. sobolsoft sells called "join (merge, combine) multiple html files 1 software". trial version has limited functionality, can't tell if of use me.

 

before go either webworks or sobolsoft solution, wanted see if out there has other suggestions first.

have got sample of customer's word html output , compared fm output, see how different 2 might start with?

 

 

from times i've ever looked @ html output word it's pretty of dog's breakfast, i'd very, surprised if 2 similar enough make merge scenario work. 2 more cents (from personal experience), customer-supplied files, particularly html, inevitably moving target, many opportunities make change on side blows integration you've painstakingly developed. every new version of word things differently, plus there many opportunities content "conjoined" multiple sources resulting in mega challenges.

 

just give context, content data-oriented (e.g. catalogs) or text-oriented (manuals or instructions)? how graphics?

 

i've used programmatic tools such logictran conversions http://www.logictran.com  -- r2net product great converting html / xml etc.  in fact, i'd suggest consider doing word-to-html step yourselves, rather having customer it, have much, more control on results.

cf_sql_integer vs cf_sql_bigint vs cf_sql_int??

i have id (primary key) set bigint in sql server. have query following: where whateverid = <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_integer" value="#url.id#"> i got invalid data type it. tried: where whateverid = <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_bigint" value="#url.id#"> i still got invalid data type it. tried: where whateverid = <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_int" value="#url.id#"> and worked. the weird thing cf_sql_int not listed being accepted: http://www.adobe.com/livedocs/coldfusion/5.0/cfml_reference/tags79.htm can explain me. > whateverid = <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_bigint" value="#url.id#"> what value of #url.id#? had no problems either using cf8. > weird thing cf_sql_int not listed being accepted: iirc, when pass in invalid sql type cf uses default: cf_sql_char, accepts anything. ms sql implicit convert() right type , why works.
