lrcat and lrdata file size....what's too big

folks,

i run multiple lib in lr2.7 , run 1 big library , wan't know top recommendation size perspective such big library size or file size.

currently largest lrcat file 2.03gb lrdata file being 17.32gb.

performance fine lib on workstation....i can't run on laptop cause it's toooo slow obvious reason there limit (via hard set or best practices) limit lrcat or lrdata files less 20gb, 10gb, 5gb?  big lib can chime in here do?  adobe can chime in on what's best practice?

thanks in advance , tried find info via search wasn't successful.

there's no limit. modern databases can grow large , still give reasonable performance. if happy performance, not issue.

by way, optimize catalog regularly?
