Installer thinks volume is case sensitve

i have 2 volumes on mac.  system volume case sensitive.  have separate non-case sensitive volume run cs4.  read prerequisites before purchased illustrator , photoshop cs5: "2gb of available hard-disk space installation; additional free space  required during installation (cannot install on volume uses a  case-sensitive file system or on removable flash-based storage devices)" fine.  can install separate non-case sensitive volume.  nope:

running installer from  non case sensitive volume error:  "installation case sensitive volume not supported."  assume means cant install cs5 non case sensitive volume because  happen have case sensitive volume on system?

adobe applications need installed on boot volume.  end of story.
