Thread: Replaced video card, still choppy video
hi ubuntu forums !
first post. i'm used hovering , browsing answers, can't figure 1 out.
had been getting choppy video month, made me switch ubuntu windows 7. now, run them in parallel.
anyways, bought new graphics card other day thinking fix it. kind of did, in windows it's still choppy, in ubuntu scan lines on occasion wants mess up.
so, ran cpu benchmark today , here results:
cpu blowfish:
this machine 1600 mhz 9.224
intel(r) celeron(r) m processor 1.50ghz (null) 26.1876862
powerpc 740/750 (280.00mhz) (null) 172.816713
cpu fibonacci
this machine 1600 mhz 6.011
intel(r) celeron(r) m processor 1.50ghz (null) 8.1375674
powerpc 740/750 (280.00mhz) (null) 58.07682
fpu raytracing
this machine 1600 mhz 28.122
intel(r) celeron(r) m processor 1.50ghz (null) 40.8816714
powerpc 740/750 (280.00mhz) (null) 161.312647
i'm running core 2 e6300, so... yeah. if run rhythmbox get's close 100%, when run videos.
it's cross platform, assume it's hardware, don't have cash money buy whole new system replacing each , every part guess.
i forgot mention, lower better. so, don't what's messing up... apparently not cpu.
