Stop the playhead from inside a movieclip

i trying stop playhead within movie clip , when test scene (the movieclip) works when test main timeline scene, stops frame within movie clip continues on main timeline.  on frames stop using script allow continue when space bar pressed. how can stop on main timeline, , within movie clip @ same time?

 

 

is way _root.stop(); or something?

if want both timelines stop need tell both timelines stop.  using _root.stop(); should sufficient stopping main timeline, , stop(); should work inside movieclip's timeline.
