Frontpage column behaviour using template override - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

hi,

i'm using template override obtain different default views - i've copied beez/html/com_content folder mytemplate/html/com_content. layout noticeably different column behaviour on frontpage is little screwey. i'm attempting display 2 articles side side (i.e. no leading articles, 2 columns) using parameter settings "home" menu link. no matter settings use articles will not appear in 2 columns. have tried forcing layout via css - having absolutely no effect. can suggest might going on ? i've selected "multi column order- across".

am correct in thinking file check mytemplate/html/com_content/frontpage/default.php ? if correct - i've noticed parameter selections don't seem marrying values here. you'll see in attachment have selected following menu link parameters:-

leading 0
intro 2
columns 2
links 0

but in default.php file these values coming through 0, 4, 2, 4 respectively. still have "leading 0" in php file non-marrying concerns me.

my test site password protected if willing can message access details in order view layout.

many in advance.

hi guys'n'gals,

can me issue ? don't understand why multi-column frontpage layout not work.

thanks in advance.
