Thread: run gtk command as logged in user on remote system ssh?
hi,
trying start teamviewer through ssh. seems start doesn't start. found problem think don't know how around it. when try gksudo teamviewer error not open display.
i'm assuming because i'm in ssh terminal of course gui's can run.
want have remote machine start teamviewer tried creating script in home directory , running through ssh still tries open in ssh.
purpose of if forget start teamviewer before leave home, can still use ssh started remote desktop session. have freenx being blocked companies firewall other day needed able start teamviewer if @ keyboard typing in "teamviewer"
there way run commands user logged in locally rather user logged ssh?
if run script runs cron job start teamviewer after few seconds , close ssh before runs system run job still?
don't understand why running script in home directory tries run through ssh instead of running on remote system.
