Installing on SLES10 localhost - > no MySQL, no Zlib compr - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support
hello community!
i'm totaly newbie on joomla , have following problem:
system information:
apache version 2.2.3-16.18
mysql: 5.0.26-12.18
php: 5.2.5--9.5
sles10 (suse linix enterprise system) -sp2
release version joomla!: 1.15-14
localhost=remote host : same linux server apache
the problem in detail:
after unpacking joomla-zip file directory /srv/www/htdocs/joomla , starting in "konqueror" browser :
http://localhost/joomla/installation/index.php
- (by installation check ) :
no zlib-kompression and
no mysql
no writeable configuration.php
- see attached screenshot
apache server (/usr/sbin/httpd2-prefork) running, mysql too.
i dont want xampp . no .htaccess file in use...
what should do? check?

none of should matter. you're going end entering mysql information , can edit configuration.php manually after fact. if want configuration.php writable, you'll have change permissions 666 or 777.
