Thread: Root File System Undefined

i start off saying this: new linux, , first time installing it, therefor having newb-like issues. please bear me.
@ step 5 of installation process of ubuntu, , clicked on partition have set aside install ubuntu onto, when proceed hitting forward, following error message:

"no root file system defined.

please correct partitioning menu.
"

question community is, how correct that? how turn 20gb partition root file system? appreciated.
thanks,
vinny

p.s. searched forum issue, , being sounds simple, yet found nothing being asked, feel sort of dumb....

if i'm not mistaken, right-click on partition , choose "/" root.
