Thread: Partition problem

i have acer aspire 6930 laptop, came vista installed. came 2 separate partitions, , want install ubuntu on second one, has around 100gb, can see here (sda3). don't understand why doesn't let me choose portion of hard drive. if i'm not mistaken, there option use "largest unused space." got me?

thank you.

specify partitions manually. should able pick install ubuntu.

note: careful no wipe vista. partition editing can potentially fatal files. keep in mind you'll need swap file. , may wish keep / , home on seperate partitions. makes reinstallation/switching distros easier.
