Contribute CS4 on Windows 7 64 bit - Attempting to edit existing website results in a blank page

hi,

i tech , not adobe contribute user apologies in advance wrong terminology.

 

i installed new windows 7 64 bit pc client , installed copy of cs4 contribute.

 

when attempt edit website page being edited ends blank.  can't work out why.

 

the same software on windows xp pc , same website edit without problems.

 

can assist settings or advice on potential incompatibility issues?

this 1 related permissions - contribute not have access write temporary file, still attempts anyway (resulting in file being created / cleared on server, no actual information being written file).

 

this still appeared problem when running application in administrator mode.

 

i may flamed super security-concience techs, this worked me:

 

  • find location of temporary site / draft folder (default c:\users\username\appdata\local\adobe\contribute cs4\en_us\sites)

 

  • select folders in "sites" folder

 

  • right-click 1 of them , go "properties"

 

  • click security tab , click "edit"

 

  • add user "everyone"

 

  • select "everyone" user , check "full control"

 

  • hit ok, ok again

 

i can't guarantee work, see how go.

How to update nested ListCollectionViews?

hi troops,   my application has core set of items (e.g. products), gets passed between various view layers. each layer wraps given input list in listcollectionview, , adds own sorting , filtering.   that way might have construct similar to   new listcollectionview(new listcollectionview(new arraycollection()))   but, of course, sorting/filtering added on each level.   now when call itemupdated() on root arraycollection, change not propagate hierarchy of lists.   it seems each wrapping, have call itemupdated(), such as:   ac.itemupdated(product); ac.itemupdated(product);   to make top-most listcollectionview update. single call not trick.   debugging code gave me insight initial collectionevent.update event ac converted move event listcollectionview. second call makes lcv realize item wouldn't move anymore , not convert event, next lcv can item-moved update of localindex.   yes, yes, complicated. feedback welcome, of course for single o...

cf_sql_integer vs cf_sql_bigint vs cf_sql_int??

i have id (primary key) set bigint in sql server. have query following: where whateverid = <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_integer" value="#url.id#"> i got invalid data type it. tried: where whateverid = <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_bigint" value="#url.id#"> i still got invalid data type it. tried: where whateverid = <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_int" value="#url.id#"> and worked. the weird thing cf_sql_int not listed being accepted: http://www.adobe.com/livedocs/coldfusion/5.0/cfml_reference/tags79.htm can explain me. > whateverid = <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_bigint" value="#url.id#"> what value of #url.id#? had no problems either using cf8. > weird thing cf_sql_int not listed being accepted: iirc, when pass in invalid sql type cf uses default: cf_sql_char, accepts anything. ms sql implicit convert() right type , why works.
