Problems getting multiple digital signatures in Acrobat Reader form
i have word document converted form in acrobat 9 pro. added 2 separate digital signature fields, 1 conference presenter , other conference planner sign. there number of text fields presenters give bio information. saved document using extend functionality user has acrobat reader able fill in form, sign/save it, , send on conference planner. first part working fine. however, once first user signs/saves document, extended functionality goes away. when conference planner receives document, locked. cannot sign , save.
is i'm trying possible? feel commonplace, may going wrong way. thank pointers.

hi brian,
there couple of things going on.
- the properties of digital signature field (where first person signs) configured lock document @ signing time. check properties of signature field click select object tool on advanced editing toolbar, right mouse click on signature field , select properties from pop-up menu. make sure signed tab on digital signature properties dialog configured this:
the other problem person signing first signature field using acrobat (not reader) version 7 or earlier. when first added reader extensions pdf file, made reader check see if in effect acrobat allowed everything. problem if user did pdf file outside of allowable reader extension, break extensions dictionary. acrobat user had no idea broke file (nor should they) , problem didn't manifest until next reader user opened file. that's why beginning version 8, if pdf file contains reader extension functionality of acrobat limited when viewing file. of course acrobat user has capability oft remove reader extensions if need edit file. if @ signature properties might able tell version used create first signature.
i hope helps,
steve
