Menu Music disappearing

so, using quad core dell windows 7 , cs4 encore.  first issue having whole system freezing (locking up) when tried import cd quality wav file 66mb big.  tried multiple files , new projects , locks immediately, doesn't import bit.  converted mp3 , imported fine.  cut file down 33mb wav file cutting file down 3 minutes because wanted , file imported fine.  because of size original not import?

 

second problem having no matter use, mp3 or smaller wav file, when preview build audio plays on menu menu animation , plays way through loop.  when build project onto disc, however, music disappears.  on disc know not playing on menu when placed several other computers , played in dvd player programs.  have project out unfortunately going out without music know might going on?  looked @ other threads similar fixes did not seem work (ie: mp3's don't work go 48khz pcm wav file).  tried rebuilding of parts of dvd see if error in transcoding nothing seemed work.  why encore buggy adobe?

 

on note use encore on mac , seem less buggy.  buy quad core imac editing work , wonder if has better performance on macos vs. vista , windows have been using now.  everyone.

back when importing large file cd, exact steps?

 

my workflow such rip cd in audition, edit it, needed, , save_as, choosing pcm/wav 48khz 16-bit, import encore. also, encore authoring app. not editing well, if @ all. works best, when import finished, dvd-compliant (or bd-compliant) assets, ready go.

 

as file size, , duration, import 2 hour long dd 5.1 ss ac3's, , encore not hiccup.

 

i advise against using mp3, , 2 reasons: high-compression messes fidelity of music (imho), , encore has issues mpeg audio, except dvd-compliant ac3's.
